The Belgian National Committee for Antarctic Research (BNCAR), in collaboration with APECS, BELSPO and the Egmont Institute, is organising the symposium “Arctic science meets policy” (at the BELvue Museum in Brussels). This event highlights the scientific activities and achievements currently being carried out by Belgium in the Arctic and discusses future research priorities for this region of the world, which is warming almost four times faster than the rest of the world and is severely affected by climate change. Scientists and the general public are invited to reflect on how scientific findings can be shared with a wider audience and contribute to decision-making at national and international levels.
