Professor Emeritus Raoul (Rudi) Dudal, affiliated with the Geo-Institute of the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium, received the Guy Smith award at the 19th World Congress of Soil Science in Brisbane, Australia; which is issued by the Commission on Soil Classification of the International Union of Soil Sciences.
